July

logo

July has already been a crazy, disappointing month for my business-wise. But, personally, it has been great. The first week, I was in Italy. The second week, I was sick as a dog, so I didn’t do much. The third week has consisted of getting registered and set to start college in the fall. So, this entire thing is sort of back burner.

I am prepping for the only festival I plan on doing this year, which means straying from this path, as it is something I hadn’t intended on doing, so I am trying to tailor my product. I do need to try and make a few Halloween photoprops, as it is my primary business income. But, I am hoping that what I am planning for the festival goes over well.

June

I am a little late for this one, as I got distracted and forgot to queue this blog to post. πŸ™‚

But, June should be a busy, busy month. I am getting close to hard-core Halloween season, so my focus is shifting some, plus needing to work on my weekly stuff. I have already had a couple of orders, so that is keeping me busy, plus, I am out of the country for a week. So, here’s to hoping I can handle everything and not lose my mind!

May should make for an interesting month. Personally, I have a lot to handle this month. However, I am only out of town for one weekend, so it should be more feasible to get some serious crocheting done. We shall see.

April

logo

April is actually looking to be a lot of fun for me. I am really digging everything I scheduled this month, and that makes it much easier to get back into the swing of working. I am still trying to work on skirts and dresses as I have a chance,Β plus I have a couple of baby gifts that I need to knock out of the park this month…but, I thinkΒ I will be okay.

Hello March

logo

March is back to the real work. I have a few skirts I need to finish for St Patrick’s Day, please I have a pretty full month with my crochet schedule. Add in several doctor’s appointments, a trip to Phoenix, and a visit from my best friend, well, it could definitely get a little crazy in my house.

But, we shall see how it all goes! March will see the shop staying on vacation mode, and hopefully tearing through some of this yarn I just bought. πŸ˜€

Hello February

logo

February should be a fun month for me. I scheduled a lot of me time in here…which is perfect, as I have so many ideas! I have my Valentines’ prop started, and I cannot wait to be able to share it! It is going to be amazing! I also have A TON of new patterns to start on, and I have 2 glorious free weeks to work on them! Plus, I have a few skirts that I need to finish quick, fast, and in a hurry! I am really excited for some of the sewing projects I have decided to work on. I also have a super cute idea for an Easter prop, I just am not sure if it is going to pan out. πŸ™‚

I do need some charity ideas though. I was thinking of doing hats, but part of me wonders if making small toys would be better. I mean, most knitters and crocheters do hats and blankets, so would small amigurumi be a more unique idea? It would give children something more than the basics. Or, is sticking with hats/scarves/blankets the ideal choice?

A New Years Plan

1

So…here is my best attempt at trying to organize myself for this next year. It is pretty packed, and I probably will fail epically at sticking to it, but for now, it is the best I have. πŸ™‚ It will be fun each month to see how close I came to sticking with it.

Free weeks are weeks to work on my own personal projects, or finish up something I got close to finishing on another week. WIP weeks are for me to work on the massive box of WIP I have accumulated over the last several years. Each week will have orders as a priority, obviously, but all the rest of my time will be dedicated to working on whatever is “due” that week. And maybe, just maybe, I will be better prepared this year.
