The wedding was incredible. Absolutely amazing. From the décor to the food to the cake mapping. I cannot wait to get my professional photos back and share some of them! Until then, here is the slideshow sneak peak our photographer sent us!
Today is the day of our vow renewal. It’s going to be totally amazing! I can’t believe this has been in the works for the last 18 months!!
Thank you to the friends and family who made it out here.
Thank you to the friends and family who couldn’t be here, but have sent your well wishes and support.
We love you all!
My next few blogs (and this one) are all written in advance and scheduled. But, I promise once everything returns to normal, I will tell you all about it!
Here are some of our many prep photos as we have gone!
A while back, I posted about creating a Donald Duck amigurumi for my pending vow renewal. Well, I have finally gotten some time and was able to sit down and create his beautiful bride.
Daisy here, see, she is no ordinary bride, to dress herself in all white. She needs some color, some pizzazz, some oomph. So, she is sporting a glorious dress with a bride red top and a skirt of reds and whites. Isn’t Donald a lucky man?
A while back, I wrote about our wedding plans. I just wanted to leave a quick update on my total lack of progress towards some of my goals.
The individual gifts have been nixed. We do have a pretty cool individual name placard for everyone, plus a candy buffet as a parting gift. However, there is definitely no time to crochet each person their own item. Life got way too hectic for that. That whole concept of dedicating my Sundays to the wedding stuff, well, that didn’t work at all.
As for my brilliant idea of making a Disney couple for each table, that idea may also get scrapped…or at least re-organized. With only 6 months to go to the wedding…I have exactly 1 amigurumi completed. So, that leaves 17 or 35 more to go, depending on which route I go down. That is not very promising. Especially with how busy this month will be, and how insane everything is all the time!
So, let’s see what I have not accomplished so far! Well, I started Donald and Daisy Duck…It is all free handed, no patterns. I just sort of looked a photo of them and went with my gut. now, I wish I had understood felt eyes a little bit better before making these, because the eyes really kill the actual look of the characters…the round eyes don’t look anything like them. But, I did get both heads done, and then even finished Donald completely! So, here’s to hoping I can finish Daisy AND a few others this month, though it isn’t looking good.
I absolutely love his tails the best. 😀
Part of our wedding photography package included an engagement shoot at Disneyland. So, I just wanted to share some of my favorite photos and our experience.
We are working with Jenna from White Rabbit Photo Boutique. She is a Disney preferred photographer, as well as a former cast member. She is absolutely amazing. She is super active, sweet, and friendly. She is genuinely interested in making your day, your shoot, your everything the most incredible and easy experience possible.
We had originally planned to do the shoot just after New Years, so that we could get all of the holiday decorations in the background, but it started raining and just didn’t stop that entire week! So, we went the following Monday, Jan 11th.
We started right at park opening, 10am, and hit every major location in Disneyland, all before 12:30pm! The historical attendance on that day is about 48%, so, especially at park opening, we had a nice, empty park to work with! I am amazed! Over the nearly 300 shots she sent us, only a few have anyone else in them. It looks like we closed down Disneyland just to do our shoot!
Anyway, thanks for letting me ramble and overwhelm you with photos. I am just so amazed at how great these turned out!
