Those are my absolutely ridiculous stats since opening my shop May 15, 2013. As you can tell, I initially had no clue what I was doing. But I noticed something…the more things I added…the more people saw my shop. That seemed like a pleasant idea. And of course, once I started joining some teams, promoting my items, getting on social media…well the results are there to see. I really started focusing on the shop the last week of July. And this month, I have really taken a step back because of the move. It seems like (gasp) the more effort you put into your shop, the better your shop does. Seriously though…for the first month, with my shop goals, not doing so fantastic. I am doing an excellent job of creating new items Mon-Friday. However, I have no managed to shoot these new products and get them listed on Saturdays. I am also (obviously) not meeting my sales goal of 1 a week for 53 sales in this year. However, now that the move is mostly over, and my lightbox (thanks so much for the awesome tutorial and ideas Stacey!) will be here tomorrow, I can take the time to really shoot, and reshoot, get some of this stuff listed. I do have about 40 items sitting around my house, just waiting to be listed. That should help. I also have a strong plan in place for Halloween. October is my good month, so I plan on having about 30 of those photoprops that sold so well pre-made, plus having a few new designs besides the candy corn. I sold 10 of the candy corn ones last year, but had about 50 inquiries. I just couldn’t make them fast enough to fill all of the inquiries, but if I can make a couple a month over the course of the year, then I am good to go for Halloween! I also have some great plans that I shall share later.
